An online questionnaire was administered to 1041 first-year students at Fukuoka Institute of Technology in July 2022. A total of 647 questionnaires were analyzed. The results revealed that 52.9% of the participants found that the introductory lecture on the use of the library with regard to career education was overall useful, and 54% rarely or never used the library in the previous semester.
