The ϕ-features in T that are inherited from C percolate up from T to C, which is caused by requirements of the principle called “Percolation” applicable in istributed Morphology, a grammatical level between Narrow Syntax and PF Interface. Some cross-linguistic variations of this complementizer agreement depend on the interaction among the principle Percolation and the hierarchy of the ϕ-features.
