The functional categories in the left peripheral area of the cartography have their own discourse function. Based on the cartography analysis, this paper shows the possibility of occurrence of a projection called “MoodP” above FinP in the left periphery of clauses. MoodP bears the function of expressing speaker’s mood or modality concerning uncertainty, presupposition, command, advice, exclamation, remorse,\ndisappointment, agreement, tense, negation, etc. These features concerning mood or modality in MoodP undergo feature inheritance from MoodP to T. Complementizer agreement is one of the by-products of the feature inheritance.
