PLL is a technique of electronic circuits which generates a signal identical with a reference signal. Usually it consists of a voltage controlled oscillator,a phase detector,and a low-pass filter. Rotation of a DC-motor is picked up by an optical interrupter. As a motor generates a signal controlled by a voltage applied, the motor works as the voltage controlled oscillator. The generated signal is compared with a reference signal by the phase detector and PWM-pulses are generated to drive the motor.
