According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the mesothelioma due to the asbestos will appear between 30 and 40 years after breathing it in, and this disease is one of the major problem in the society. On our campus, for example, it is possible that the minute quantity of chemicals used in the laboratories and other facilities evaporate and disperse through the air. The existence of this evapo­ration and the diffusion of the chemicals can be easily proved by simple observation whether the build­ings and the equipments have suffered corrosion or not. In this study, the corrosion has clearly been observed, and is attributed to the post-processing of the equipments, the failure of the draft chambers and the piping systems. Since the corrosion has been found to have occurred, it is suggested that there is a possibility of the Articles 1 and 3 of the labor security and hygiene law becoming involved. Some of the proposals are made after the above
