A laser beam of 470 nm was passed through the vicinity of the aquatic plant in a culture dish filled with a culture solution containing 10-6 M fluorescent Tris (2, 2'-bipyridyl) ruthenium (II) chloride. Deflection of the laser beam and fluorescence excited by the laser were recorded simultaneously. Experimental results showed that only a little ruthenium complex might be adsorbed on the aquatic plant. Also, romoving DO for obtaining fluorescence intensity without DO was studied.
