| 内容記述 | In this essay, I will discuss the versatility of “Genshishiroku”, a collection of essays by Sato Issai, a Confucian scholar of the Edo period. Particularly, I will focus on Article 33 of “Genshikoroku”, that is, “I will treat people like a spring breeze. I will refrain from myself like the autumn frost.” The autumn frost is a sign of self-restraint. This Article is succinct and intuitive, symbolizing the way of being and living as a human being, and can be regarded as the ultimate essence of such a work. The purpose of this article is to analyze the functional and structural aspects of Article 33 of “Genshikoroku”, and to clarify that Article 33 is the platform (foundation or base) of “Genshishiroku”. |
