The curriculum guidelines for the Period for Integrated Studies present three main competencies to be acquired with uniform wording, but differences exist in the issues to be explored and their implementation methods. By comparing these differences across school levels, the study identified three perspectives: competencies to be acquired, exploration tasks, and system development. Specifically, the competencies perspective revealed the need for conceptual organization, the exploration tasks perspective highlighted the necessity of cumulative curricula, and the system development perspective emphasized the need for efforts to master the exploratory learning process.
